The Concept
Weihnachten im Tierpark – A Christmas Garden experience is a wonderful trip into a festive fairy-tale world for the whole family. Millions of lights illuminate the “ Tierpark Berlin ” and transform the setting into an enchanted dreamscape. Every year from mid-November through early January, the roughly two-kilometer-long loop trail invites families, friends, and couples to pause, stroll, and enjoy the atmosphere. Along the way, guests can take photos of and marvel at a variety of glittering light installations.
Weihnachten im Tierpark – A Christmas Garden Experience
At the Tierpark Berlin, Europe’s largest zoo, Weihnachten im Tierpark launched in 2019 as the capital’s second festive winter highlight, alongside the Christmas Garden in the Botanical Garden. Nearly 100,000 visitors flocked to the sparkling park landscape in its first year and were enchanted by the atmospheric sound and light installations.
