Tickets

Yes, we offer discounts for the following groups of visitors and tickets:
Schoolchildren, students and senior citizens over 65 years of age receive reduced admission Monday through Thursday (except holidays and between December 19 and January 01). The discount can only be granted upon presentation of an appropriate ID at the entrance.

With a family ticket you get up to 37% price advantage compared to buying one-way tickets. With a family ticket, up to 5 people can Weihnachten im Tierpark visit:
a) 2 adults and up to 3 children aged 6 to 14 inclusive.
b) 1 adult and up to 4 children aged 6 to 14 years inclusive.

Children up to and including the age of 5 are admitted free of charge.

If you have an annual pass for Tierpark Berlin, Zoo Berlin or the Berlin Aquarium, you will receive a 10% discount when purchasing tickets at the box office of Weihnachten im Tierpark a discount of 10 %. Please bring a proof of purchase with you.

In our ticket store you have the option to purchase Print@home tickets. This allows you to buy tickets online until shortly before the event and bring them with you as a PDF on your cell phone. It is not necessary to print the tickets.

Vouchers can be issued with an individual voucher value (from € 1.00) and provided with a personal dedication.
Vouchers can be redeemed directly at the box office, but only on condition that tickets are still available for the desired day and time slot.
We recommend redeeming the voucher for tickets online in our ticket store before your visit. The remaining credit of the vouchers can of course be used for other events at myticket.de.

Children under the age of 6 are admitted free of charge. Children aged 6 to 14 inclusive receive a discount, but may only enter the grounds if accompanied by an adult.

Yes. Tickets are also available at the box office (plus € 2.00 fee), which is located at the entrance Bärenschaufenster. We recommend to buy the tickets cheaper in advance, because popular time slots can be sold out and therefore there can be waiting times. The on-site box office opens at 4:30 p.m. and closes at 7:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m., depending on the day of the week (Monday through Thursday, Sunday: 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday: 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.).

Up to a group size of 20 people, you can book your tickets via our ticket page. From a group size of 21 people, please send us an enquiry.

Yes. If you have purchased a ticket via our website or myticket.de, you can change the ticket to a new date and/or time slot up to five days before your booked time slot.
Ticket booking via a guest account:
If you have made your ticket booking as a guest, please use the "request new password" function via the following link to convert your guest account into a customer account: myticket-Login. Please enter your e-mail address under which you booked the tickets. You can then make the rebooking in your customer account under "Ticket" and the sub-item "Ticket exchange".

Please note:

  • Discounted tickets for pupils, students and senior citizens can only be exchanged for the days Monday to Thursday. It is not possible to change tickets to Friday through Sunday.
  • A fee of €5.00 will be charged per exchange/transaction.
  • The exchange is only possible by online payment (credit card, Klarna, Amazon Pay, Giropay) and not with prepayment.

No. In case of loss of the ticket, no replacement or reprint is possible. The return of tickets is also excluded. Pursuant to Section 312g (2) Sentence 1 No. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no right of revocation for the purchase of tickets despite the fundamental existence of a distance selling transaction. This means that the two-week right of revocation and return is completely excluded when purchasing tickets.

If no more tickets are available online for a time slot, it is sold out and no more tickets will be available at the box office either.

The entrance to Weihnachten im Tierpark is located at the Bärenschaufenster entrance to Tierpark Berlin. Important: the gate by the palace is an exit, not an entrance.

The last admission and start of the circuit is at 8:30 p.m. Please understand that the security service will inform all visitors from 9:45 p.m. onwards that the grounds will soon close at 10:00 p.m.

To ensure an atmospheric experience for all guests, the admission time is staggered in 30 minute intervals. Your ticket will show the admission time. Please pass the entrance within the half hour indicated. Example: if you have bought a ticket for 5:30 p.m., then you can arrive for admission between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Of course you can stay longer than 30 minutes at Weihnachten im Tierpark.

General information

No. Bicycles, sleds, running bikes and other children's vehicles may not be taken onto the premises for safety reasons.

No. Dogs (no matter how big and also leashed) and other animals are unfortunately not allowed to come with you to Weihnachten im Tierpark. Exceptions are made, of course, for officially registered assistance dogs (guide dogs, etc.).

To avoid long waiting times at the entrance, please do not bring large bags to Weihnachten im Tierpark.

No. The animal enclosures of Tierpark Berlin are generally not part of our light festival. That's why only a few real animals can be seen at Weihnachten im Tierpark.

Weihnachten im Tierpark takes place in a part of the zoo where only a few animal enclosures are located. Illuminations, music and gastronomic offers are of course placed in such a way that no animals are affected.

Yes. Weihnachten im Tierpark is an open air event that takes place in all weathers, including rain. Please be aware of this before buying your tickets. Winter evenings in Berlin can get very cold and wet. So please remember to bring weatherproof clothing and shoes and possibly an umbrella. Unfortunately, tickets cannot be returned due to bad weather, as long as there is no acute danger for the visitors.

Weihnachten im Tierpark will once again provide excitement this year and guarantee a contemplative open-air experience thanks to a comprehensive hygiene concept. Please inform yourself about the central points of our hygiene concept before your visit.
With increased steward and security personnel and a professional admission organization, we meet the security requirements that have increased in recent years, taking into account current standards. To ensure speedy admission, please do not bring any large bags with you.

You are cordially invited to photograph our installations. Of course, you may bring a tripod. We would be delighted if you capture the special atmosphere of Weihnachten im Tierpark and share your impressions with us on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook under #weihnachtenimtierpark. Please understand that for safety reasons, drone photography is not permitted. At our event, photography and filming may be done for private purposes only. Recordings for commercial purposes are not permitted.

No. Since Weihnachten im Tierpark is a special event at Tierpark Berlin, daily and annual tickets of Tierpark Berlin are not valid.
If you have an annual pass for Tierpark Berlin, Zoo Berlin or the Berlin Aquarium, you will receive a 10% discount when purchasing tickets at the Weihnachten im Tierpark box office. Please bring proof of purchase with you.

Yes. At irregular intervals, special events for children take place at Weihnachten im Tierpark, such as an alpaca parade where the animals can be petted. Keep an eye on us for this on Facebook or Instagram.

Yes. The paths at Weihnachten im Tierpark are suitable for use with prams.

Guests with disabilities

Adult visitors with disabilities need an adult ticket. Children with disabilities require a ticket for children. On presentation of a severely disabled person's ID (registration mark B), an accompanying person receives free admission to Weihnachten im Tierpark. The accompanying person does not need a separate ticket.

Yes. Wheelchairs can be rented. Please reserve a wheelchair in advance by sending us an email.

The circular trail leads over uneven terrain. There are accessible paths for visitors with wheelchairs or prams, but the natural conditions on site can be a challenge.

Yes. Adult visitors with disabilities need an adult ticket. Children with disabilities need a ticket for children. On presentation of a severely disabled person's ID (mark B), an accompanying person receives free admission to Weihnachten im Tierpark.

Catering

The value of the voucher is 10,00 € and can only be exchanged for a coupon sheet at the first, signposted hut (near Café KAKADU). The coupon sheet can be redeemed flexibly at all huts of Weihnachten im Tierpark and is valid for the purchase of any food and beverages. Cash payment is not possible.
