Tickets
Information on payment methods can be found on the website of our ticket provider myticket.de.
We use a demand-based pricing system. This means that our ticket prices are based on how early and for which date you book a ticket. This means that on many match days we can offer you your Weihnachten im Tierpark-experience at particularly favorable prices on many match days. Booking tickets early pays off! So secure your price advantage now.
Yes. Tickets are also available at the box office (plus €2.00 fee), located at the entrance Bärenschaufenster. We recommend to purchase inexpensive tickets in the advance sale, as popular time slots may be sold out, resulting in waiting times. The box office on site is open at the following times:
- Monday to Thursday, Sunday: 16:30 to 20:00
- Friday and Saturday, December 21 to January 07: 16:30 to 20:30
Up to a group size of 20 people you can book your tickets via our ticket page. A group size of 21 and above please send us a request, which you can make via our ticket page.
No. In case of loss of the ticket, no replacement or reprint is possible. The return of tickets is also excluded. Pursuant to Section 312g (2) Sentence 1 No. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no right of revocation for the purchase of tickets despite the fundamental existence of a distance selling transaction. This means that the two-week right of revocation and return is completely excluded when purchasing tickets.
If the online sale for a specific time slot shows no more tickets available then they are sold out and no more tickets are available at the box office either.
Children under the age of 6 are admitted free of charge. Children aged 6 to 14 inclusive receive a discount, but may only enter the premises if accompanied by an adult.
Vouchers can be issued with an individual voucher value (from € 1.00) and provided with a personal dedication.
Vouchers can be redeemed directly at the box office, but only on condition that tickets are still available for the desired day and time slot.
We recommend redeeming the voucher for tickets online in our ticket store before your visit. The remaining credit of the vouchers can of course be used for other events at myticket.de.
Yes. Mobile tickets and Print@home tickets can be presented on the cell phone. It is not necessary to print the tickets.
Yes, we offer discounts for the following groups of visitors and tickets:
Schoolchildren, students and senior citizens over 65 years of age receive reduced admission Monday through Thursday (except holidays and between December 21 and January 07). The discount can only be granted upon presentation of an appropriate ID at the entrance.
With a family ticket you get up to 37% price advantage compared to buying single tickets. With a family ticket, up to 5 people can Weihnachten im Tierpark visit:
a) 2 adults and up to 3 children aged 6 to 14 inclusive.
b) 1 adult and up to 4 children aged 6 to 14 years inclusive.
Children up to and including the age of 5 are admitted free of charge.
If you have an annual ticket for the Tierpark Berlin, the Zoo Berlin or the Berlin Aquarium, you will receive a discount on the purchase of tickets at the box office of Weihnachten im Tierpark a discount of 10% (except for family tickets). Please bring proof of this.
Approach & opening hours
To ensure an atmospheric experience for all guests, the admission time is staggered per 30 minutes. Your ticket will indicate the admission time. Please pass the entrance within the half hour indicated. Example: If you purchased a ticket for 5:30pm, then you can arrive for admission between 5:30pm and 6:00pm. Of course you can stay longer than 30 minutes at Weihnachten im Tierpark linger.
At the Bärenschaufenster of the Tierpark Berlin is the entrance of Weihnachten im Tierpark. Important: The access gate at the Castle is used to exit the park and not to enter.
General information
Weihnachten im Tierpark is an open-air event and the winter evenings can get very cold. Therefore, we recommend weatherproof and warm clothing and sturdy shoes. Please also bring an umbrella if necessary.
Yes. The paths at Weihnachten im Tierpark are suitable for use with strollers.
No. As this is Weihnachten im Tierpark is a special event at Tierpark Berlin, day and annual tickets from Tierpark Berlin are not valid.
If you have an annual ticket for Tierpark Berlin, Zoo Berlin or the Berlin Aquarium, you will receive a discount of 10% when purchasing tickets at the box office of Weihnachten im Tierpark a discount of 10%. Please bring a proof of purchase with you.
You are cordially invited to photograph our installations. Of course you may bring a tripod. We would be delighted if you captured the special atmosphere of Weihnachten im Tierpark capture and share your impressions with us on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook under #weihnachtenimtierpark. Please understand that for safety reasons, photography with drone is not allowed. At our event, photography and filming may be done for private purposes only. Recordings for commercial purposes are not permitted.
With increased stewards and security personnel and a professional admission organization, we are meeting the increased security requirements of recent years, taking into account current standards. For a speedy admission, we ask you not to bring large bags.
To avoid long waiting times at the entrance, please do not bring large bags.
No. Please understand that dogs (also leashed, in backpacks, bags, etc.) and other animals are not allowed. Excluded are of course officially registered assistance dogs (e.g. guide dogs).
Weihnachten im Tierpark takes place in a part of the zoo where only a few animal facilities are located. Illuminations, music and gastronomic offers are certainly placed in a way that no animals are affected.
No. The animal facilities and enclosures of Tierpark Berlin are basically not part of our Festival of Lights. Therefore there are only sporadically real animals can be seen.
Yes. Weihnachten im Tierpark is an open air event that takes place in all weather conditions, including rain. Please be aware of this before purchasing your tickets. Winter evenings in Berlin can get very cold and wet. So please remember to bring weatherproof clothing and shoes, and possibly an umbrella as well. A ticket return due to bad weather is unfortunately excluded, as long as there is no acute danger for the visitors.
No. Bicycles, sleds, running bikes and other children's vehicles may not be taken onto the premises for safety reasons.
Guests with disabilities
Yes. There are handicapped accessible restrooms on the premises.
The circular route leads over uneven terrain. There are barrier-free paths for visitors with wheelchairs or strollers, yet the natural conditions on site can be a challenge.
Yes. Adult visitors with disabilities need an adult ticket. Children with disabilities require a ticket for children. On presentation of a severely disabled person's ID (registration mark B), an accompanying person receives free admission to Weihnachten im Tierpark.

Catering
Yes. On the walk through the zoo and in front of the castle you can choose from hot and delicious food and hot and cold drinks.
Yes. The purchase of food and beverages in cash and with a giro/credit card is possible.
The value of the voucher is 10.00 € and can only be exchanged for a coupon sheet at the first, signposted hut (near Café KAKADU). The coupon sheet can be redeemed flexibly at all catering huts and is valid for the purchase of any food and beverages. Cash payment is not possible.
